The leader of the “Patria-Rodina Ravnopravie” Electoral Bloc, Valentin Krilov considers that the preliminary results of the local elections that took place on June 3 are not a pleasant reality, although he respects the will of the voters. Regarding the election campaign on the whole, Krilov believes that the polls were neither fair nor free.
According to Krilov, during this election campaign some of the legislation provisions have not been respected, like the interdiction to make use of administrative resources in the election campaign, or the fact that the candidates should have had equal conditions to campaign, and others.
One of the leaders of the only electoral bloc that participated in the electoral race thinks that the candidate for Chisinau Mayor promoted by the ruling party was much better positioned, in an artificial manner, than his opponents. Krilov also remarked the pressures on some of the opponents of the pro-government candidates, exemplifying by the cases recorded in the districts of Briceni and Glodeni.
According to the data offered by the Chisinau District Election Council, at 10.30, after processing 90.88% of the ballots, the “Patria-Rodina Ravnopravie” Electoral Bloc collected 3.64% of the votes for the City Council, and its candidate for Chisinau Mayor, Valentin Krilov – 3%.
