The team of the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) is the new women’s basketball champion. The pupils of Olga Verghizova won the final against the team of the Speranţa Sports School 3-1, IPN reports.
In the last match, UTM was led by 19-22 after the first quarter of the game, but finally won by 84-63. This way it took revenge on Speranța for the defeat suffered in this March’s Cup final.
The players of the two teams are to be selected for the national squad of Moldova, which will host the FUBA U16 European Championship Division C. The tournament will take place at the Futsal Arena FMF in Ciorescu commune this July.
