As the housing stock in Transnistria is in dire need of capital repairs, the de facto authorities decided to collect the necessary funding by increasing apartment block maintenance rates from 0.86 ruble to 2.43 rubles (about 2.80 lei) per square meter, the region's press reported.
Additionally, starting from 2015, the region's residents will pay for the maintenance of the territory adjacent to their apartment blocks a rate of 0.73 ruble per square meter (0.85 lei). The waste disposal rate will also rise by 6%, to 10.57 rubles (12.3 lei) for the apartment blocks and 15.80 rubles (18.35 lei) for the single household units.
Further, hot water and heating rates will rise by 2.05 rubles (2.40 lei) and 0.16 ruble (0.20 leu).
