USM “Bomb” helped two students play hooky from classes

The police managed to find and to arrest the authors of the phone call regarding the bomb alarm in the 3rd block of the State University of Moldova (USM). The call was registered on May 12, at 12.00 in the office of the dean of Foreign Languages Faculty. An alarmed voice announced that there is bomb placed in the block. The dean called the Police. The specialized services of the Ministry of Interior (MAI) did not find anything. As result of operative-investigative measures undertaken by the police, the authors of the false alarm were arrested, who in fact were students of this faculty. According to the MAI Press Center, the authors, two young women, both aged 20, recognized that they have announced this „bomb” as they did not want to attend the French class. If they are found guilty of hooliganism, the girls risk a fine up to 20,000 lei or from 4 to 8 years of imprisonment.
