Passengers will be able to use mobile phones aboard planes, not yet during takeoff and landing. The state commission for radio frequencies approved a bill with amendments to the national table for distributing frequency bands for allowing using mobile communications services on board, IPN reports.
In a communique, the Ministry of Economy says the passengers will use the telephones by connecting themselves to the appropriate frequency band by satellite. To ensure the security of the equipment on board, the transmission power will be maintained at a rather low level and it won’t be possible to use the mobile phones during takeoff and lending.
The state commission on radio frequencies approved amendments to the national table for distributing frequency bands with the aim of adjusting the national normative framework in the area of frequency management to the European one.
