The United States welcomes the Democratic Party announcement to withdraw from the government in favor of prime minister Maia Sandu and a coalition formed by the democratically elected Parliament, IPN reports.
"We find it encouraging that both the new coalition and the former government were engaged in a peaceful transfer of power, which reflects the will of the Moldovan people. We call for restraint during this period of transition, " reads a press release of the US State Department.
In this context, the US will continue to follow closely the developments in Moldova and remain committed to working with all Moldovans, because they are the ones who build a more prosperous and democratic future.
