U.S. Peace Corps Trainee group arrives to Chisinau

The 19th group of the Peace Corps trainees is arriving in Moldova to take part in two projects and to work with several non-governmental organizations. According to the US Embassy in Chisinau, the Trainees, who are due to arrive September 13th, will have a 9-week pre-service training to study Romanian or Russian, to learn about Moldovan culture and will also have technical sessions on the projects that they will be involved in. After the training, 22 of them will serve as Community and Organizational Development Volunteers and 15 as Agriculture and Agribusiness Development Volunteers in various non-governmental organizations and Mayors’ Offices throughout Moldova. At the moment there are 165 Peace Corps trainees in the Republic of Moldova.
