The U.S. Embassy urges Moldova to end selective justice, root out corruption, and increase transparency in the justice system to ensure a bright European future, IPN reports.
“Strong and independent justice sector institutions are essential to upholding the rule of law, maintaining the confidence of citizens, and attracting investment,” the U.S. Embassy says a posting on its Facebook page.
The message notes that the U.S. Embassy has provided extensive support to the Moldovan justice sector to facilitate European integration, such as via the visit in May by two U.S. Federal Judges to discuss judicial ethics and legal reasoning with Moldovan judges.
