U.S. Alumni to hold charity concert for disabled children

Alumni of the U.S. Government-funded exchange programmes will hold a St. Nicholas charity concert in Chisinau on December 19. All ticket proceeds will be donated to the Orphanage for disabled children in Corten village, Taraclia district. Bearing the theme “Make Children Happy for Christmas”, the performance is a follow-up to similar events held over the past years in the cities of Chisinau, Balti and Cahul with the joint effort of the alumni of U.S. exchange programmes and the Moldovan community. The concert will feature an original jazz performance by UniVox band. The charity concert will start at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 19, at the National Philharmonic Hall “Serghei Lunchevici”. The price of the tickets ranges from 50 to 80 lei. The alumni community brings together persons who have benefited from U.S. Embassy’s exchange programmes over the past 14 years.
