The children who weren’t allowed to attend school as of September 1 this year because they hadn’t been vaccinated against measles could return to classes, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Valeriu Giletski stated after a meeting of the government coalition, IPN reports.

The official said the number of children who do not go to school because they weren’t immunized is rather large. It was agreed with the Government that a compromise solution will be found: the children will return to classes, but discussions with parents will be held meanwhile so as to persuade them that vaccination is the only method for avoiding the disease.

Valeriu Giletski didn’t say when exactly the unvaccinated children will be admitted to school.

On September 14, 5,664 unvaccinated children remained outside school.
