Negotiations on the formation of a government coalition are probably held now by some of the political forces, but these are unofficial. Most probably, the Party of Socialists and the Democratic Party negotiate agreements that could result in the formation of a socialist minority Government, said experts invited to the talk show “In Depth” on ProTV Chisinau channel, IPN reports.

Ion Tăbârță, expert of the Institute for Development and Social Initiative “Viitorul”, stated snap parliamentary elections would not take place. Negotiations are now held officially and unofficially. The official discussions represent paving of way. In this case, the Democratic Party took a step forwards and allowed ACUM and the Party of Socialists to discuss. “And we saw that every time the bloc ACUM gave signs it was ready to concede points of the initial program, the Socialists extended their list of demands and any message of ACUM was torpedoed by the PSRM one way or another,” he stated, noting an open coalition between the Socialists and the Democrats will most probably not exist, but the scenario of 2016 related to turncoats will also not be employed.

Journalist Vitalie Călugăreanu said negotiations on the formation of a government alliance could be held unofficially. There is only one scheme: Igor Dodon will announce the candidate for Prime Minister; the Democrats will vote this in and a socialist minority Government will be formed. “And then the Socialists will come out and say: “We stated that we do not want an alliance with the PDM, but what should we do if they voted? They voted in out candidate and we have a minority Government. And they will try to govern based on such a combination,” noted Vitalie Călugăreanu.

Journalist Vasile Botnaru anticipates a figure will be brought and this will leave anyone perplexed. The Democrats will implement such a scenario in a move to avoid spending money in a new election campaign. “If they went towards snap elections, they would incur costs and the score cannot be forecast as their good reputation was affected somehow,” noted the journalist.
