Over 920 students will have access to the largest football stadium (standard size) at an educational institution in the municipality. The field was inaugurated on Thursday at "Universul" Theoretical High School in Telecentru quarter. The stadium was built by the Chisinau City Hall in partnership with the Moldovan Football Federation, IPN reports.
The stadium development project is part of the "Football in Schools" Project and cost over 7.1 million lei. Deputy mayor of Chisinau Angela Kutasevich said that through this investment, the municipality reaffirms its commitment to provide the young people with opportunities to practice sports, especially football.
This is not the only investment made by the Chisinau City Hall in the infrastructure of the high school. In recent years, the municipality has also allocated money for setting up access ramps for children with special educational needs, for providing the cooking facilities with the necessary equipment and for repairing the heating system.
