Bachelor's and master's degree studies will also be available remotely, not only part-time. The Cabinet approved regulations on the organization and conduct of distance higher education, IPN reports.
"For us, it is very important to ensure access to higher education for a wide range of people, regardless of whether they work at this stage or not, whether they are in the diaspora of the Republic of Moldova or if, for other reasons, they have difficulty in physically participating in the educational process," said Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun.
According to the official, the approval of distance learning in universities will provide a study opportunity for more people – people with disabilities, employed people or those who are abroad, including foreign citizens.
The minister noted that distance learning will be possible at all specialties, except for architecture, veterinary medicine, health, special motor skills and recovery or security services, where access to laboratories is obviously needed for practical training.
