Universalbank remains without license

The commercial bank Universalbank was deprived of license. The decision to withdraw the license was taken by the Administration Board of the National Bank of Moldova on February 15, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from the central bank, the decision was reached after establishing that Universalbank SA was insolvent and committed a series of irregularities.
The bank will be subject to forced liquidation, in accordance with the Law on Banking Institutions.
Ion Ropot was named as the liquidator of Universalbank.
