The Spiritual Development Party ”United Moldova” said Friday that it will take part in the early elections under the list of the Social Democratic Party (PSD). The announcement was made by the party’s president Ana Tcaci at a news conference, Info-Prim Neo reports. “There are three political forces in the country: right-wing, left-wing and center. Some politicians’ conviction that only the parties that entered the Parliament should run in elections is not right. The fight between the Liberals and the Communists would divide the society into two national sectors: pro-Romanians and pro-Russians,” Ana Tcaci said. The party’s president also said that there are forces in the society that accept neither the Communist nor the Liberal ideology and there is a risk that these forces could join the center-left. “United Moldova” considers that all the Democratic parties should join forces and run under a joint list and calls on the leaders of these parties to unite and take part in elections together with the PSD. Asked by Info-Prim Neo, Ana Tcaci said that the members of “United Moldova” will leave the political ambitions aside and will run together with the PSD in elections even if none of them is written in the electoral list on the first ten positions. “Our objective is not the seat of MP, but the building of a truly free and democratic society where the people’s dignity is the most important value,” Ana Tcaci said. “The best variant for the Democrats is to form an anti-Communist block. Then, the early elections would be undoubtedly crucial for Moldova,” said Anton Gamurar, member of the party. “United Moldova” considers that the Centrist Union of Moldova, the Democratic Party of Moldova, the Conservator Party and other parties should also run under the PSD’s list. According to Ana Tcaci, the “European Action” Movement and the National Liberal Party are closer to the ideology of the right-wing parties. In the April 5 elections, the Spiritual Development Party ”United Moldova” polled 0.22% of the vote. The election threshold is 6%.
