The differentiated taxing of the economic entities working in agriculture creates disloyal competition on the market, Alexandru Slusari, chairman of the Union of Agricultural Producers “Uniagroprotect”, said in a news conference. According to him, the income tax of 12% put on agricultural companies and the income tax of 7% put on peasant farmsteads are unreasonable, Info-Prim Neo reports “The manager of an agricultural company asked me if it’s better to work as a peasant farmstead as these organizations often do not work with invoices. The inspectors first of all examine the large agricultural companies that are registered officially. The peasant farmsteads also benefit from differentiated treatment in the health insurance system and take part voluntarily in the social insurance system,” said Alexandru Slusari. According to him, if the authorities want to support the agricultural sector, they should support all the economic entities. “I know that the peasant farmsteads also encounter serious problems, but this differentiated treatment on the part of the authorities is not stimulating for the economic entities working legally and paying taxes to the state,” stated the chairman of “Uniagroprotect”. Alexandru Slusari also said the central public authorities and the justice system have not been yet reformed and there is a risk that the fiscal pressure on the economic entities will be increased, regardless of the area of activity.
