UNHCR organizes summer holiday for 93 refugee children

UN High Commissioner for Refugees to Moldova (UNHCR) organizes the summer holiday for a group of 93 children, starting officially on June 28, at 18:00, UNHCR press release says. According to it, among this group of children there are refugees and asylum-seekers, who have suffered as result of the armed conflict of Transnistria, as well as a group of children deprived of their parents’ care, who are going to spend 10 days in the summer camp “Andries” in Ivancea. UNHCR highlights that the group of children was created in cooperation with the Children’s Protection Department of Chisinau municipality, with local authorities of Dubasari raion, refugees Department and UNHCR. The Commissioner’s representation organizes joint summer vacation for refugees and asylum-seekers children for the 7-th time. This activity is implemented by the NGO “Save the Children”, UNHCR partner. The organizers say that the activity aims at facilitation of refugee youngsters’ integration in the local society.
