Unaffiliated lawmakers Iurie Leanca, Eugen Carpov and Nicolae Juravschi will not support the motion of no-confidence against the Government headed by Valeriu Strelet. Such a decision was taken by a unanimous vote in the October 28 meeting of the Political Bureau of the European People’s Party of which the three MPs form part, IPN reports.

After the meeting, Iurie Leanca, who is the president of the PPEM, said such a decision was taken even if they have no reasons to support this Government that discredited itself and Valeriu Strelet should better resign.

He added that the PPEM does not play the game of the parties that tabled the no-confidence motion as their goal is to further destabilize the situation in Moldova.

On October 29, Parliament is to examine the no-confidence motion submitted by the Socialist and Communist MPs. The Liberal lawmakers and the unaffiliated MPs of the Leanca group said they will not vote in favor of the motion. The Democratic parliamentary group is yet undecided. The Council of the Alliance for European Integration 3 is having a meeting. The way the Democrats could vote on Thursday is being discussed there.
