About 2,000 Ukrainian refugees from ATU Gagauzia will receive 2,400 lei, the equivalent of €117, for purchasing must have items for the winter season. The initiative forms part of the support activities developed by Caritas Czech Republic, IPN reports.
The financial assistance will be distributed to refugees who found shelter in Comrat, Ceadâr-Lunga, Vulcănești, Cahul and Basarabeasca. “This form of support will enable the Ukrainian refugees to buy season articles, starting from gloves and scarfs and ending with coats and footwear for the winter season,” explained Cristina Rogojina, coordinator of the humanitarian project.
“Together with our partners from the Public Association “Vesta”, we regularly organize the transportation of Ukrainian refugees to stores where they can choose the winter items they need. This way we ensure the access of refugees from distant villages or of those with reduced mobility to such a form of support,” noted Vladimir Kylchik, the official representative of Caritas Czech Republic based in Comrat.
In addition to this form of support, the Ukrainian refugees from ATU Gagauzia get 700 lei per family in cash for the cold period of the year, from November 2022 until February 2023.
