The Supreme Rada of Ukraine recommended the Government in Kiev to close the border crossing points at the frontier with the Transnistrian region. The border with Transnistria is now open.
Contacted by IPN, head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ana Taban said that the Ukrainian parliament only made a recommendation to the executive and no relevant decision was yet taken.
Representatives of the Embassy of Moldova in Kiev are permanently in contact with the Ukrainian authorities and monitor the situation.
