Ukraine’s Ambassador to Moldova Serhii Pirozhkov advises the Moldovan politicians to learn from his country’s experience and use it in the future parliamentary elections. The Ukrainian diplomat made such statements in the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.
According to him, the Moldovan politicians taking part in the electoral race should discuss more with the people so as to explain the advantages of joining the EU to them. “The pro-European Moldovan politicians should learn from the experience of our politicians and must pay greater attention to the voters. They should not stop at the achieved results and should not forget that new forces can come anytime. I refer especially to the Socialists, who want to denounce the Association Agreement with the EU. This should make the pro-European politicians think. The fact that the Socialists are for the Customs Union should make the voters think too. I hope the Moldovans are wise and will make the correct choice on November 30,” stated Serhii Pirozhkov.
He also said that Ukraine’s relations with the Western neighbors, including Moldova, are formidable, while with the Eastern neighbors leave much to be desired. They will make effort to restore the relations with Russia, though this is rather difficult given that the Russian Federation not always solves the problems at the negotiating table.
Serhii Pirozhkov noted that he is satisfied with the results of the Supreme Rada elections in Ukraine and voiced hope that the parliamentary elections in Moldova will be won by the pro-European forces.
