Ukraine will apply entry restrictions on cars with Transnistrian number plates starting September 1. As of this date, only cars with neutral and Moldovan number plates will be allowed to enter. The announcement was made by the Ukrainian Customs Service, which denied a recent announcement issued by the Odessa Customs Service.
"Odessa Customs erroneously published information about the postponement of the ban on the participation in international traffic of cars from the Transnistrian region of Moldova, which do not have neutral model plates", the information published by the State Customs Service of Ukraine reads.
A day ago, citing other media outlets, IPN wrote that Ukraine has postponed until next year the requirement for Transnistrian region drivers to have neutral license plates in order to drive to the neighboring state.
