The Russian products cannot cross the border to Moldova due strictly to technical problems and Ukraine does not intend to ban their access. The Embassy of Ukraine in Moldova said the situation will be soon remedied and the products will reach the destination, as until now, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Embassy says that at the start of 2016, Ukraine introduced a series of bans on the import of Russian products in reaction to Moscow’s unilateral decision to violate the CIS Free Trade Agreement.
However, the Ukrainian authorities decided not to act as Russia and ordered not hampering the transportation of Russian products through the territory of Ukraine, especially because they take into account the economic interests of Moldova.
The Russian Federation banned the Ukrainian products’ access to its market at the beginning of this year. It also banned the transportation of Ukrainian products through its territory. For its part, Ukraine imposed a ban on the import of Russian products.
