The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland encourages the reformation process in Moldova and will launch new projects to support the country’s European course, British Ambassador in Chisinau Philip Batson said in a meeting with Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, the projects that the British Government is to launch in Moldova correspond to the Moldovan Government’s priorities, namely national unity, the rule of law and sustainable economy.

The British diplomat said the UK will assist Moldova in doing the initiated reforms. “At the Riga Summit, we will reaffirm the EU’s commitment to help Moldova implement the Association Agreement with the EU. “The UK can provide the necessary expertise in the financial-banking system and in justice, which is a sector that enjoys the British people’s respect,” stated Philip Batson.

At the end of the meeting, Philip Batson invited Chiril Gaburici to have a bilateral meeting with the British Prime Minister, who will be chosen in today’s elections, on the sidelines of the Riga Summit.
