The UK donated four firefighting vehicles and a minibus to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service of Moldova. The firefighting vehicles are outfitted with extrication equipment and first-aid kits, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Service, besides the donation, the project initiated by the sides envisions the training of 62 Moldovan firefighters by British specialists during three weeks. The training includes specialization in extrication and first aid giving and will take place in three points: Chisinau, Balti, and Comrat.
The donated firefighting vehicles will be tested and used in the practical exercises. After the training, the vehicles will be distributed to the rescuers and firefighting units in Chisinau, Ialoveni, Sangerei, and Floresti.
The vehicles cost about €80,000.
