Two youths remain alive after falling from height

Two young men had a narrow escape after falling from height. Doctor-Coordinator of the Chisinau Emergency Service, Eufalia Negreata, has told Info-Prim Neo that a 20-year-old youth residing on Milescu Spataru Street wanted to kill himself and jumped from an upper floor of a block on Monday. But he fell on the roof of the balcony from the second floor and remained alive. The ambulance doctors said that he suffered politraumatism, contusion of the backbone in the lumbar region, fractures of the pelvic bones and of the forearm. This morning at about 7.00, a young man aged 29 fell from the Calea Basarabiei Bridge from a height of about 7 meters. As a result of the impact, he suffered contusion of the abdomen, injury to the internal organs and traumatic shock of the second degree. The man told the doctors that he wanted to see something that was under the bridge, but bent too much and fell. A 14-year-old minor girl wanted to kill herself by taking pills. She was hospitalized for detoxification at the Mother and Child Center. A woman aged 56 died unexpectedly as a result of arterial hypertension. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Emergency Service received 654 calls, dealing with 86 cases of traumas, 94 cases of acute viral infections, 23 births, 18 coronal syndromes and a brain stroke.
