Two young men died and another young man suffered injuries in a road accident close to Sadova village of Călărași district. According to the preliminary version, the driver was speeding and lost control of the car, crashing this into a tree, IPN reports.
The General Police Inspectorate said the 21-year-old driver had two more young people as occupants in his car. He lost control of the vehicle and ran this into a roadside tree. As a result of the impact, the driver and a 23-year-old passenger died on the spot. The other passenger aged 21 was rushed to the hospital with different injuries.
Contacted by IPN for details, vice director of the Călărași District Hospital Ion Veveriță said the patient is in a medium grave condition and this suffered a number of fractures. He was initially admitted to the intensive care unit, but was later transferred to the surgical unit where he is continuing the treatment.
An investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the accident.
