A boy aged two swallowed a chewing gum. His parents did not think the gum would cause him harm and did not seek medical assistance immediately. They called an ambulance the next day. The child was diagnosed with intestinal obstruction and was admitted to the Mother and Child Center, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting Eufalia Negreata, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service. A 26-year-old man working for a double-paned window making company was rushed to the Emergency Hospital with a hand wound that he received at the workplace. Another young man was taken to the hospital with a trauma of the backbone after a pile of lumber fell on him at a company based on Uzinelor St. On May 10, the Chisinau Ambulance Service recorded eight cases of death. A 31-year-old man died after taking a lethal doze of drugs. In the other cases, the persons died as a result of cardiovascular and chronic diseases.
