A boy aged two years drowned in a lake situated near the home of his grandparents whom this was visiting. The tragedy happened in Taul village of Donduseni district on June 28.
Press officer of the Donduseni Police Inspectorate Lilia Harea has told IPN that the boy was in the care of his 60-year-old grandfather. The child disappeared from view and the man started to look for him, finding him unbreathing on the bank of the lake. His efforts to resuscitate him failed.
The parents and supervisors who look after children younger than five are warned not to leave these unsupervised even for short periods as they are too young to determine situations of risks.
