Two men, 37 and 52, fell into a sewer hole of about 8 meters deep which they were cleaning. It happened in Ciorescu commune, Chisinau municipality.
The call to the 112 Service was received this afternoon. It seems the workers lost their balance after inhaling exhaust fumes from the water pump.
The intervention of an Emergencies Inspectorate rescue team was needed to extract the workers.
The men were rushed to a hospital, as their condition is said to be moderate and stable.
