Two unidentified persons crushed to death under wheels of cars

An unidentified man and woman died in hit-and-run accidents on August 4. Paulina Yakimovski, senior PR specialist of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accidents happened at an interval of half an hour – one in Chisinau’s Botanica district and the other one near Micauti village. A woman in her 50s was killed when she was struck by a BMW. The driver did not stop to help, but was soon identified. The car he was driving did not belong to him. A man of about 55, who was allegedly a vagrant, was killed shortly afterward near Micauti. Eyewitnesses recorded the car’s license number and the police soon caught the driver. A 28-year-old man and his mother aged 47 suffered serious traumas when they were hit by a Volkswagen Passat on Hancesti St in Chisinau. The woman suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma and a concussion, while her son – a pelvic bone fracture, dislocations and other injuries. A VAZ-2109 fell of a bridge in Sarata village of Leova district. The driver aged 52 received minor injuries. Two persons were killed and nine hurt in ten traffic accidents that happened in Moldova yesterday and last night.
