Two teenagers died and other six suffered serious injuries in a road accident on Monday evening, January 14, in Cojusna village, Straseni, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Lilia Danila, a teacher from the village, a group of 10 teenagers, ninth graders at the lyceum decided to go sowing (a tradition associated with St. Basil feast) the head master of the lyceum and a teacher. After having sown the teachers, the children were going back home, to the centre of the village. Near the former café, a VAZ vehicle that was driving at a high speed hit the group of teenagers. Two of them died instantly due to severe injuries. Other 6 victims were taken to a Chisinau hospital. According to the police, the vehicle was driven by a 21-year-old man, who was driving drunk. The driver tore off from the place of the accident, but was identified by the police shortly after. In 72 traffic accidents registered over the 14 days of this year, 8 people died and 63 were injured.
