The police have arrested two suspects in the case of a 50-year-old man found murdered last Friday in his home in Horești village, Ialoveni, bound hand and foot. The suspects are two young men, both aged 22 and both residents of the same village. One of the suspect has a criminal past.
Ialoveni Police chief Pavel Damaschin has told IPN the suspects were apprehended earlier today and there is enough evidence to incriminate them. Placed under arrest for 72 hours, the suspects have agreed to cooperate with the investigation.
The victim was found murdered in his own bathroom with his hands and feet tied up. He died a violent death, sustaining multiple injuries to his head. The man had recently returned after spending some time working abroad, and police believe the attackers may have been after his money.
