Two suspected of casino robbery

Two young men are suspected of robbing a casino located in the municipality of Chinau. They allegedly stole a total sum of MDL 12 mln, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Operative Department of the Ministry of Interior Affairs, armed and masked unknown persons threatened the operator of the “Casino Club” located on Sarmisegetuza Street in the municipality of Chisinau. The robbers took money and material goods to the total sum of MDL 12 500 and then disappeared.
As a result of the investigations, police arrested two young men aged 28 and 29, one resident of Sangera town – another of Siret village, Straseni raion. Both of them have been convicted 5 times before for serious felonies. They served 5 and respectively 8 years for their crimes.
The suspects recognised their guilt in committing another robbery on January 10 at the gas station located in Sangera town.
An investigation was initiated under the article 195 (2) of the Penal Code, according to which they might be imprisoned for 10-25 years.
