Two police officers charged with drug dealing

The Chisinau Prosecutor's Office has charged two Buiucani criminal investigation police officers with engaging in illegal drug trade. The officers have been placed under house arrest, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the prosecutors, in June the suspects sold 1.69 gram of heroin for 6,000 lei to a woman who was doing drugs. Also, The prosecutors have evidence that the officers gave the woman 3.5 grams of a narcotic analgesic called fentanyl to be further sold in Chisinau. Additionally, the officers are accused of threatening four people with criminal proceedings in order to force them to sell drugs. The case was submitted to the Ciocana District Court for hearing.
