The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection on November 17 reported 19 deaths associated with COVID-19. The victims include a 33-yeear-old woman, who was transferred from the Hâncești District Hospital to the National Clinical Hospital, and a man aged 34 from the municipality of Chisinau. They both had comorbidity, IPN reports.
The 19 deaths announced today took the death toll from COVID-19 in Moldova to 2,054.
There were also reported 1,069 new infections with the novel coronavirus. The number of infections now stands at close to 91,000. Almost 16,000 of these are active cases.
As many as 241 patients with COVID-19 are in a serious state and 57 of them were put on a ventilator.
