Two people died and one was taken to the hospital with burns after an apartment situated on the fourth floor at 7/2 Alecu Russo St in Chisinau was engulfed in flames. The call to the 112 service was received at 03:42 p.m.
Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Liliana Pușcașu said that five crews of rescuers and firefighters intervened on the spot. Three people were evacuated. Two men died, while another one was taken over by an ambulance crew.
The fire was localized at 04:07 p.m.
