Twp persons were punished in the case of the collapse of a part of the roof of a building with attic-like apartments situated on Alba Iulia St in Buiucani district of Chisinau. These are the chief of the building site and the person responsible for the technical maintenance of the apartment building.
The technical-professional attestation commission of the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction suspended the technical-professional attestation certificates of the two for a five-year period, head of the Chisinau Local Construction Inspectorate “Centru” Ion Popa has told IPN. The decision was taken because the technical rulers on the conservation of construction works weren’t obeyed.
A part of the roof of the mentioned building caved in at the end of January. Nobody was hurt, but the roof had to be completely dismantled as it was close to falling. The intervention works cost 30,000 lei.
