A man and woman died from carbon monoxide poisoning in fires yesterday and last night. Emergencies Service spokeswoman Dorina Cruc has told Info-Prim Neo that both of the victims were elderly.
A man aged 66 from Sarma village, Leova was found dead in a room destroyed by flames. The fire was caused by a faulty stove.
A house caught fire last night in Porumbrei village of Cimislia district. After extinguishing the fire, the firefighters found the body of the house owner in one of the rooms. It was a woman aged 77.
Four students younger than 20 got postponed with gas emitted by a water heater in a rented apartment in Cahul town. They were admitted to the Cahul district hospital.
The over 1,800 fires that happened in Moldova so far this year resulted in 155 deaths. Five of the victims were children.
