Two persons killed by alcohol overdose

A woman and a man from Chisinau deceased on Friday, November 10, because of alcohol overdose. The Medic on duty of the Chisinau Emergency Service, Eufalia Negreata, says the victims were of 48 and 42 year-old of age and were found dead after they consumed an exaggerated amount of alcoholic drinks. According to the medics, both suffered from chronic alcoholism. In the same day two women, 45 and 48 year-old, died from unknown causes, most likely due to cardio-vascular diseases, declared Eufalia Negreata. A 58 year old woman suffering from depression tried to kill herself and jumped from the 2 floor of a building on Sadoveanu Street. The woman survived the impact, but suffered severe trauma – mental shock, heart shock, and fractured a leg. She was hospitalized in the Emergency Hospital. Over the past 24 hours, medics from ambulances registered over 600 calls, including 64 cases of trauma, 24 cases of acute virosis, 6 strokes and 2 heart strokes that resulted in one casualty.
