Two persons injured and three cars damaged in a traffic accident

Two persons were injured and three vehicles were damaged in a traffic accident on Tuesday morning on Calea Basarabiei from Chisinau. According to the inspector of Traffic Safety Service, Administrative Surveillance and Public Relation of Chisinau’s Road Police, Ion Roscovanu, the accident took place at 7:00 near Domus shop. A GAZ-24, driven by a 25 year old, hit a BMW-520, and a result was propelled into a stationary ZIL-130 truck. As a result of the double collision, the driver and passenger of the Volga suffered head concussions and were hospitalized. At 7.20, on Ion Creanga Street, a Mercedes minibus of the 160 route hit a cyclist of 31 years. The latter was severely inebriated, so that several hours after he was hospitalized with a head trauma, the medics and the police still did not manage to identity him. A 62 year old woman fell from a trolleybus on Melesteu Street and suffered a chest concussion, and another 45 year old inhabitant from Soldanesti suffered a head concussion after a Volkswagen-Passat hit him on Calea Iesilor. Over the last 24 hours, the traffic officers have identified 9 intoxicated drivers. There were 32 traffic accidents during the day with a total of 6 injured persons.
