Due to unfavourable meteorological conditions, policemen once again draw the attention of the participants to the traffic to be very careful. High speed in icy road conditions can lead to very serious traffic accidents, that is why drivers must be very careful.
Drivers are advised to use breaks and travel at low speed. They are also recommended to supply their vehicles with the necessary quantity of fuel, to have winter tires and to make sure they have sand and a spade in their vehicles. At the same time, the anti-steam system for windows and the heating system must be in good order.
The cited source says pedestrians must make sure there is no danger while crossing the road, even in pedestrian areas.
Two traffic accidents that resulted in 2 injured persons and 17 minor accidents have been registered over the last 24 hours. The police stopped seven drivers driving drunk and fined 60 drivers for driving at high speed.
