Two persons die in waters

A 14-year-old boy and a man aged 49 drowned in ponds in the municipality of Chisinau on July 25. Emergencies Service spokeswoman Liliana Puscasu has told Info-Prim Neo that the boy was playing with his friends in the Schinoasa pond not far from Sangera town. At a certain moment, he dived and did not go out. His friends sought help and called the police and an ambulance. The boy was taken out shortly afterward, but all attempts to resuscitate him failed. The body of the 49-year-old man from Cantemir town was discovered near Isnovat river in Revaca village. The police presume he drowned. According to the statistics of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, 82 persons have drowned in Moldova's ponds this year, including 18 children. The number of victims is yet larger. Many of them entered the statistics of the Ministry of the Interior, when the intervention of rescuers or frogmen was not necessary.
