Two persons were killed in the explosion that occurred in a shop located at the intersection of the streets Armeneasca and Mateevici in Chisinau at about 11am today, March 20. A third person who was hurt in the blast called an ambulance at home. The information was confirmed for IPN by the spokeswoman for the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Center Diana Blanaru.
Diana Blanaru said the injured person who called an ambulance at home was taken to the Emergency Medicine Institute.
An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances of the blast.
