In Chisinau, two people froze to death and two other have been hospitalized with general hypothermia, Info-Prim Neo reports. Evelina Rusu, coordinating doctor at the Emergency Service, said a 62 year old woman was found dead this morning, December 4, on Tighina Street, near the Central Market. Yesterday, a homeless man, aged somewhere between 60 and 70, was found frozen as well. He sought shelter in a block of flats on Trandafirilor Street, but this didn’t save him of the cold. On Friday, a homeless person ended up in the Emergency Hospital with general hypothermia, while a 28 year old man was found without footwear in the street. He had 1st and 2nd grade frostbites on his feet. A 13 year old girl got intoxicated with gas from a furnace and was hospitalized. On the same day, two 18 year old girls ended up in the Sfanta Treime Hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning after a fire. The incident happened in a student lodging on Bogdan Voievod Street. Since Friday till Saturday morning, December 4, ambulances dealt with 653 calls, including 63 viral infections, 65 traumas, 5 strokes and 14 births.
