The Reintegration Policies Bureau suggests supporting two projects that are financed by the foreign partners for citizens from the left side of the Nistru – the purchase of two ferryboats for transporting people and basic goods over the Nistru and the extensive repair of the Chisinau-Tiraspol-Kuchurgan national road, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Cebotari announced in a press briefing after a meeting with representatives of mediators and observers to the “5+2” format talks, who are paying a working visit to Moldova during June 2-4, IPN reports.
Olga Cebotari said the constitutional authorities are ready to extend the concessions provided to Transnistrian economic entities on the import of particular goods after July 1. The decision concerning the access to international traffic for motor vehicles with national and neutral-design license plates will be put into practice only after September 1.
In connection with the snap parliamentary elections of July 11, Olga Cebotari called on all the involved political forces to renounce discriminatory and exaggerated politicization approaches by equally and unrestrainedly ensuring the exercise of the electoral right of all the citizens from the country and from abroad.
The official noted in the meeting with the representatives of the mediators and observers to the Transnistrian settlement talks in the “5+2” format, they discussed the current stage of the negotiations and examined the prospects of organizing a new round of talks in the second half of this year.
It was highlighted the opportunity of opening discussions on the political-institutional basket. For Chisinau, the current priorities include the guaranteeing of the observance of the human rights and freedom of movement between the two banks of the Nistru, protection of the population’s health, efficient fight against COVID-19 and immunization of citizens from the two banks.
