Two more candidates for the post of mayor of Chisinau filed the documents required for being registered to the Chisinau District Electoral Council on May 7. These are: Elizaveta Moscalciuc, of the Political Party “Renaissance”, and Grigore Petrenco, of the Political Party “Our Home Moldova”. The same day, documents were also submitted by two independent candidates for the post of Chisinau councilor and by the Party “Renaissance”, with a list of candidates for the same post.
Contacted by phone by IPN, the Council’s deputy head Sergiu Matu said the draw decided that Elizaveta Moscalciuc will be under No. 9 on the ballot, while Grigore Petrenco – under No. 10.
On the ballot for the Chisinau Municipal Council, independent candidates Oleg Cernei and Serghei Barcari will take the eighth and sixths positions, while the Party “Renaissance” – the seventh position.
The applications for taking part in the June 14 local general elections can be submitted by May 14.
