The Ceadir-Lunga Court found two more persons guilty of preparing actions to stabilizing the constitutional order. The two held training courses with the assistance of foreign secret services for terrorist purposes and prepared to take part in an illegal paramilitary organization. Three persons were earlier convicted of similar acts, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, both of the sentences are irrevocable. The convicts were put on probation for a five-year period. They were not jailed because they cooperated with the law enforcement bodes.
At the beginning of last August and this April, the Comrat Court put three young men on probation for a five-year period for preparing to destabilize the constitutional order and banned them from working in areas related to the circulation of arms for a five-year period. The three admitted their guilt and cooperated with the investigation bodies, revealing the names of their accomplices and other relevant details.
Last September, two accomplices of these were brought to justice, charged on five counts, including recruitment of mercenaries, treason, training and provision of support to foreign secret services for terrorist purposes, attempts to organize an illegal paramilitary group and to purchase arms and munitions without authorization. This case is pending.
