Two more nursery schools located in northern and southern Moldova were renovated with the grant offered by the Government of Romania through the Moldova Social Investment Fund. These are the crèche-nursery of Taul village of Donduseni district and the nursery of Branza, Cahul, IPN reports.
Both of the nurseries were repaired within the “Program of technical and financial assistance provided by the Government of Romania for Moldovan preschool education institutions” to the total value of €20 million. A sum of 2 million lei was allocated for renovating the nursery in Branza, including for purchasing new furniture. The crèche-nursery in Taul was repaired with the 2.7 million lei offered from the Romanian Government’s grant and another 250,000 lei from the Moldova Social Investment Fund.
The two preschool education institutions were inaugurated with the participation of the Fund’s executive director Mircea Esanu and Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca.
Among the beneficiaries of the grant offered by the Government of Romania are 774 nursery schools from 32 districts of the country and over 200,000 children, parents, teachers and ancillary staff.
The works financed with the given grant include the extensive repair of buildings, replacement of roofs, doors, windows, wirings and heating systems, thermal insulation of external wall, building of water supply and sewerage systems, laying out of playgrounds, setting up of sanitary facilities, equipment with furniture, etc.
