Two minors drowned in the canoe channel in Balti

Two minors drowned, on Thursday, 6 July, in the canoe channel of Balti municipality. According to the Press Center of the Exceptional Situations Department (DSE), the two cousins, aged 8 and 10, drowned around 12:30. Their bodies were found by DSE divers only at 14:00. The canoe channel is deep, with edges, facts that made almost impossible their rescue. The Ministry of Internal Affairs investigates this case. Another double drowning took place on 2 July at the Black Sea. Two karate sportswomen from Moldova, aged 17 and 19, participants at an international competition, have disappeared that day in the agitated sea. Their bodies were found on 5 July near the village Primorskoe, district Chilia. This year DSE divers recuperated from the water the bodies of 8 drowned persons.
